Michael Dunnett – Biopic
Michael has lived in Broome for 35 years and has been self-employed in a variety of businesses and industries for all but two of those years. Businesses in Broome include Roebuck Bay Caravan Park (now Discovery Park), Ocean Lodge (now Broome Time Resort), Broome Printing Company & Over The Top Adventure Tours. He currently operates Roebuck Tree Service and Broome Chiller & Freezer Hire. Prior to that he was a partner in a finance brokerage before buying a country hotel and then a city tavern. Michael has served on several boards and committees and is a past president of Broome Tourist Bureau (now Broome Visitor Centre) and Kimberley Tourism Association before becoming Deputy Chair of Australia’s Northwest Tourism which was formed by the merger of Kimberley Tourism Association and Pilbara Tourism Association. He was in that role for over ten years. He has also served on the boards of Broome Chamber of Commerce and Shinju Matsuri and other not-for-profit associations. |
